Comprehensive Plan
The Village has started working on a Comprehensive Plan, as of June 2013, with plans to complete this project by April 2014. The comprehensive planning process will help to determine the long-term goals and aspirations pertaining to development within the community (generally a 20-year outlook). The outcome will be a plan that will guide Village officials when making decisions in regards to transportation, utilities, land use, recreation, housing, and Village services/facilities. Look for a public informational meeting in March 2014.

Active/Reserve Military, Veterans and First Responders Appreciation Luncheon
Village of Rapid City President Harold Mire Jr. and Board of Trustees would like to invite all Rapids City's Active/Reserve Military/Veterans and First Responders to a free appreciation luncheon honoring their service on
Wednesday May 22nd, 2024.
Lunch will be served from 11:30am to 1:00pm at the Rapids City Community Center.

• Village Board Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm. At this time the meetings are being held upstairs at Village Hall located at 1204 4th Avenue. All meeting attendees are required to wear a mask when medically tolerable to prevent the spread of COVID-19. All meeting agendas will have a link to attend open meetings virtually via Zoom.
